Answer:

area of parallelogram=base multiply by height

450= X multiply 2x

450= 2Xsquare

450/2= X square

225=X square

under root 225 = X

X = 15=base

so,base=15 cm and height = 2X means 2Multiply15=30

height = 30

\huge\mathfrak\blue{Answer:}

Given:

  • A Parallelogram whose altitude is twice the base.
  • Area of Parallelogram = 450 cm²

To Find:

  • The altitude and base of the given Parallelogram.

Solution:

Let the base and altitude of Parallelogram be

Base = b cm

Altitude = h cm

According to the Question :

h = 2.b - - - - - - - - - ( 1 )

Area of Parallelogram = 450 cm²

b x h = 450 cm² - - - - - - ( 2 )

Using equation ( 1 ) in ( 2 ) we get

b x 2b = 450 cm²

2b² = 450 cm²

b² = 225 cm²

b = 15 cm

Putting b = 15 cm in equation ( 1 ) we get

h = 2.( 15 ) cm

h = 30 cm

Hence Base of Parallelogram is 15 cm

And Altitude of Parallelogram is 30 cm
