area of triangle

The area of triangle = 1/2 bh

in this parallelogram their are 2 triangles

so its area = 2 × 1/2 (bh ) = bh

b = 13.5cm and h = 18 cm ;  ( 31.5 - 18 = 13.5 )

area = 13.5 × 18

= 243cm^2

area of square

area of square = side × side

= 18 × 18

= 324 cm^2

area of oarallelogram = area of 2 triangle + area of 1 square

    243 + 324

   = 567 cm^2
