In a parallelogram PQRS, SN is perpendicular to QN and QM is perpendicular to PS. TANVIdraws an SN perpendicular on a line QR and KRISHNA draws it on line segment QR, also TANVIdoes QM perpendicular on line segment PS, and KRISHNA does it on line PS. With the given condition, which one of the following is the best fit?
a. Only Krisha is incorrect
b. Both are not incorrect
c. Only Tanvi is not incorrect

Answer:

Given,

PQRS is a parallelogram, in which SL ⊥ PQ and SM ⊥ QR.

And also given that PQ = 12cm, PS = 8cm and SL = 6cm.

We have to find out SM.

For this we will use the formula of area of parallelogram.

Here we take PQ as base and SL is the height.

So,

Since the opposite sides of a parallelogram are equal in length.

So, PS = QR = 8 cm

Again we use the formula of area of a parallelogram.

But this time  we take QR as base and SM is the height.

Hence The length of SM of given parallelogram PQRS is 9 cm.
