in a park the number of plants increased by 9% over the previous year if the numbers of plants now is 62130 then how many plants were planted in previous year?

Answer:

Let plants in prev. year be X

plant this year = 109% of X =62130

109X / 100=62130

X = 62130×100/109

X = 57000
