Let the parking charge for a car be Rs. x and for a scooter be Rs. y

80x + 25y = 925

65x + 12y = 710  

use the elimination method,

65[ 80x + 25y = 925]              

= 5200 x  + 1625 y = 60125

80 [ 65x +12y = 710]                

= 5200 x + 960 y = 56800

subtract each of the above equations ,

1625y  - 960 y = 60125 - 56800

665 y = 3325

y = 5  

and x = 10

Therefore, the charge of 5 cars and 7 scooters = 5x + 7y = 50 + 35 = Rs. 85
