In a parrallelogram , the altitude is twice the of the base . its area is 450 cm square . Find the length of the base and atitude .

let the base be x cm
the altitude = 2x cm
area of parallelogram = base × altitude
2x × x = 450
2x^2 = 450
x^2 = 450/2
x = 15 cm

so base = 15 cm
altitude = 2 ×15 = 30 cm
