In a photo electric experiment the stopping potential "V" is plotted against the frequency 'v' of the
incident light. The resulting curve is a straight line which makes an angle 'theta' with the x-axis. Then
tan theta will be equal to?

We know that,

E = wf + K.E

K.E = E - wf

= hn - wf

eV° = hn - wf

V° = hn/e - wf/e

[ y = mx + c ] ( Slope Form of Straight Line )

m= Slope Of Line = Tan0 = h/e
