In a polling station there were 900 registered voters. during the election 10 percent of the registered voters did not cast there votes .the rest cast their votes to ahmed ,babu, and chambuko in the ratio 3;2;1. if 30 votes were spoilt, how many votes did ahmed get?

Given :

Total = 900 voters

10 % voters = did not cast

Ratio = 3 : 2 : 1

Spoilt = 30 votes.

According to the question :

Ahmed = 3x

Babu = 2x

Chambuko = 1x

☞ 10 % = Total × 10 / 100 × 10

=> 900 × 10 / 100 × 10

=> 900.

Equation :

=> 3x + 2x + 1x = 900

=> 6x = 900

=> x = 900 / 6

=> x = 150.

☞ Spoilt = 150 - 30

=> 120.

☞ Ahmed = 3x = 3 × 120 = 360.

☞ Babu = 2x = 2 × 120 = 240.

☞ Chambuko = 1x = 1 × 120 = 120.
