Numererator= X

Denominator= Y

3x= y----------(1)

X-1/Y-1= 1/14

14x-14= 1y-1

14x-1y= -1+14

14x-y= 13----------(2)

Multiply by 1, in eq-----(1)

By cross multiplication method

3x - y= 1

14x - y= 13

x= 12/11

Put the value of x= 12/11, in eq---------(1)

3x = y

3(12/11)= y

36/11 = y

The value of X= 12/11 and Y= 36/11.
