A Database may be used to store data taken from rows and columns of another file.
A Database has several functions which may be used to calculate totals, minimum, maximum, average, total count etc. The functions also include scientific functions and ‘if’ functions which calculate or produce results, which meet only a given criteria.
Microsoft Access, SQL Server, Oracle etc. are some of the main Database technologies.
