In (a), product given is NaCl and NaHCO3.

... But.. metal carbonate +acid =Salt + H2O+ CO3

So., product should be NaCl + H2O+ CO3

How?

in your questions NaHCO3 is metal cabonate and Yu use HCL AS ACID
