Answer :

Total salesmen = 10

Each salesman is given the target of Rs 1,00,000.

So total target to be achieved by all 10 salesmen = 10×1,00,000 = 10,00,000 Rupees.

Now 6 salesmen achieve the target.
So the total target achieved by those 6 salesmen = 6×1,00,000 = 6,00,000 Rupees.

Remaining 4 salesmen fall short of target 50,000 each.
So total target achived by these remaining salesmen = 4×50,000 = 2,00,000.

So the total target achieved by all 10 salesmen = 6,00,000 + 2,00,000 = 8,00,000 Rupees.

Since the overall target of all 10 salesmen was Rs 10,00,000.

=> They fell short of the target by 10,00,000 - 8,00,000.
= 2,00,000 Rupees.

So the group of salesmen fall short of the target by Rs 2,00,000.
