to find: angles A, B, C, D

solution: let A=2x, D=3x, B=4y, C=5y

A+B= 180 degrees (interior angles on the same side of the transversal)

2x+3x= 180

5x=180

x=36

2x=72, 3x=108

similarly, B+C=180

4x+5x=180

9x=180

x=20

4x=80, 5x=100

Therefore, A=72, B=80, C=100, D=108
