In a quadrilateral angle A + angle D equal to 180 degree. Does this mean AB parallel to DC? Why?What special name does this quadrilateral have?

yes it will be a parellel.as these adjacent angles are supplimentry to each other and this.is a property of parallel lines.
this quadrilateral is a trapezium.

ChiragS1931: when it constitutes to 180°.it means it is flipped along its own path.which means the NET angle between the first and second line will be 0° (when it lies directly over it or in other words is co-incident) when we talk about parallel lines they do not join but when the lines are brought close without any deflection,they form an NET angle 0 so.this is correct
