In triangle PQR -
s = 5 + 4 + 3 x ½
= 6
area of PQR = √6(6-4)(6-4)(6-5) cm sq
= √6x2x3x1 cm sq
= 6 cm sq
In triangle PRS -
s = 8 + 5 + 7 x ½
= 10
area of PRS = √10(10-5)(10-7)(10-8) cm sq
= √10x5x3x2 cm sq
= 10√3 cm sq
area of quadrilateral PQRS
= ar(PQR) + ar(PRS)
= 6 + 10√3
