To Find :-

  • How many pounds does a pretty little fish weigh ?

Solution :-

Let us assume that, weight of a little fish is x pounds .

so, according to question,

→ weight of fish = (1/3) of 1 pound + (2/3) of weight of fish .

→ weight of fish - (2/3) of weight of fish = (1/3) of 1 pound

→ x - (2/3) of x = (1/3) of 1 pound

→ (3x - 2x)/3 = (1/3) of 1 pound

→ x /3 = (1/3)

→ 3x = 3

→ x = 1 pound (Ans.)
