marks for every incorrect answer = -1

To find : -

How many answers are incorrect?.

1. Riyaz scores 15 points
2. He got totally 9 answers are correct.

i.e he got marks = 9 × 2 = 18marks

but they given he got only 15 points

.: total points = number of marks for correct answers + number of.marks of incorrect answers.

let,

the number of incorrect answers be 'x'

15 = 18 + x

15 - 18 = x

x = - 3

as marks for every in correct answer = - 1

x = $\sf\frac{- 3}{- 1}$

x = 3.

$\sf\therefore$ number of incorrect answers = '3'
