Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

In a quiz team A scored -40 ,10,0 and team B scored 10,0,-40 in three succesive rounds.

To find:-

which team scored more?can we say that we can add integer in any order?

Solution:-

The score of team A in a quiz = -40 , 10 , 0

Total score of team A in the quiz =

=(-40) + 10 + 0

=> -30

Total score of team A = -30--------(1)

The score of team B in the quiz = 10 , 0 , -40

Total score of team B in the quiz

=10+0+(-40)

=10-40

=> -30

Total score of team B = -30--------(2)

From (1)&(2)

We noticed that

The score of team A is equal to the score of team B

They scored equally .

And we can add integers in any order by Commutative property under addition in the integers.

Answer:-

They scored equally .

we can add integers in any order by Commutative property under addition in the integers.

Commutative property:-

If a and b are integers then a+b = b+a is called Commutative property under addition in the integers.
