numerator is 13 and 21 is denominator

let the numerator be X

denominator will be X+8

according to question

x+17/X+7=3/2

now we can find x=13

numerator =13

denominator=21

Answer:

Let the Rational no. be X/X + 8.

According to the Question,

X + 17/X + 8 - 1

X + 17/X + 7

Now,

X + 17/X + 7 = 3/2

= 2(X + 17) = 3(X + 7) [By cross

multiplication]

= 2x + 34 = 3x + 21

= 34 - 21 = 3x - 2x

= 13 = x

= x = 13

So, Numerator x is 13.

Denominator x + 8 is 13 + 8 = 21.

Hence, The Rational number is 13/21.
