Let the denominator be :::"a"

Numerator =(a+2)

So the fraction would be.....

(a+2)/a............original fraction....

After adding 3 to both the numerator and denominator....

new Fraction would be......

(a+2+3)/(a+3)=5/4

(a+5)/(a+3) =5/4

4a+20=5a+15

20-15=5a-4a

a=15

The original no...... Numerator =15+2=17

Denominator =15

Hope it would help u

Fraction = x/x + 2

According to Question;

(x + 3)/(x + 5) = 5/4

Cross-multiply

4(x + 3) = 5(x + 5)

4x - 5x = 25 - 12

x = -13

So;

x + 2 = 11

Fraction = -13/11
