In a reaction 4.6g of Barium chloride reacted with 3.4g of sodium
sulphate. After the reaction was completed, it was found that
only 2.8g of the solution was left because insoluble precipitates
settle down the container. What was the mass of the insoluble
precipitate? Name and state the law.

Answer:

answer is 5.2 g

Explanation:

Bacl2+ na2 so4 = baso4 + nacl

4.6g 3.4g x 2.8g

using law of conservation of mass

mass of reactants = mass of products

4.6+3.4 = x+ 2.8

therefore x=5.2g
