Here EB=52 m.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

In a rectangle ABCD,E is middle point of AD. If AD=40m and AB=48m .

Angle A=90°             (ALL ANGLES IN A RECTANGLE ARE RIGHT ANGLES)

Therefore according to Pythagoras theorem,

EB^2 =AE^2+AB^2                       (1)

AE=\frac{1}{2}AD                   (AD=40 m) (GIVEN)

AE=\frac{1}{2} \times40

AE=20 m

Also AB=48 m                 (GIVEN)

Therefore,

EB^2 =AE^2+AB^2                [from equation (1)]

EB^2=20^2+48^2

              = 400+2304

EB^2=2704

EB=\sqrt{2704}

Hence EB=52 m.
