Answer:

given:perimeter of rectangle=1m

=100cm

And one side is 5cm long than the other.

Let the other side be: x

Then first side will be =x+5

As we know,

perimeter of rectangle= 2(l+b)

100cm=2(x+x+5)

100cm=2(2x+5)

100cm=4x+10

4x=100-10

4x=90

therefore x=90/4

=22.5cm

first side =22.5cm. ans.

second side=22.5+5

27.5cm. ans.

Answer:

perimeter (p)= 1m=100cm

Taking length as =x

breadth as =x+5

Step-by-step explanation:

2(x+(x+5) )= 100

2x+2x+ 10=100

4x+10=100

4x=100-10= 90

x=90÷4 = 22.5

x= 22.5

therefore, length = 22.5 cm

breadth=x+5=22.5+5

b = 27.5

2(22.5+27.5)=100
