the breadth = y
→ x = ( y + 5 ) cm..........…… {1}
→ 2 ( l + b ) = 100
→ ( l + b ) = 50
→ ( y + 5 + y ) = 50
→ ( 2y + 5 ) = 50
→ ( 2y ) = 50 - 5
→ 2y = 45
→ y = 22.5 cm
PUTTING THE VALUE OF y IN EQUATION 1.
→ x = ( 22.5 + 5 )
→ x = 27.5 cm
