Answer:

One side of rectangle is 22.5 cm

Other side = 27.5 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x cm be the one side of the rectangle .

Property of rectangle : opposite side of rectangle are equal .

Since we are given that other side 5 cm longer than the other

other side = x+5

We are given the perimeter = 1 m

Since 1m = 100 cm

Thus perimeter of rectangle = 100cm

Formula of perimeter of rectangle = 2(length+breadth)

⇒100 cm = 2(x+x+5)

⇒100 cm = 2(2x+5)

⇒100 cm = 4x+10

⇒100 -10 = 4x

⇒90 =4x

\frac{90}{4} =x

22.5 =x

Thus one side of rectangle is 22.5 cm

Other side = x+5 = 22.5 +5 =27.5 cm
