Step-by-step explanation:

Perimeter =108 inches

Let length and width of the rectangle be x inches and y inches

ATQ,

x=2y+12

x-2y=12---(i)

and

2(x+y)=108

2x+2y=108---(ii)

Adding (i) and (ii),we get

3x=120

x=120/3

x=40

Now putting x=40 in eq. (i), we get

40-2y=12

2y=40-12

2y=28

y=28/2

y=14

Hence Length of the rectangle = 40 inches

And width of the rectangle = 14 inches

Perimeter is 108 inches
Breadth is b
Length is 12 inches more than twice it’s width
Length=2b+12
Perimeter of rectangle is 2(l+b)
2(b+2b+12)=108
2(3b+12)=108
3b+12=108/2
3b+12=54
3b=54-12
3b=42
b=42/3
b=14,
l=2b+12=2(14)+12=28+12=40
l=40
