In a rectangular field of side 40 m by 20 m.
four flower beds in the shape of quarter circle
and 1 rectangular flower bed were laid out
as shown in the figure. Find the area of the
remaining field (Use it = 3.14).​

Answer:

Area of rectangular field

is 40 * 20 which is 800m

Primeter is 120 m

Rectangular shape's area

12 * 2 which is 24

Now,

4 quaters make a circle

so now if we join them they will make a circular flower bed

So Radius is 20\2 which is 10m

Area of the circle is 3.14 *(10)2 = 314sq m

Now , Reaming area will be

800-(314+24)

Which is 462sqm
