All the interior angles of regular hexagon are 120°

Distance between F and C  = a cos(60°) + a + a cos(60°) = 2a

FC is twice the magnitude of AB and is parallel to AB.

Therefore, FC = 2AB

By vector law of addition,

FA + AB + BC = FC

FA + AB + BC = 2AB

FA + P + Q  = 2P

FA  = 2P - P -Q

FA = P - Q
