area of the rectangular field = 50m × 30m
= 1500m²
given the sides of the triangular park are 14m, 15m and 13m.
let the sides be a, b and c
semi-perimeter of the triangular park = ( 14 + 15 + 13 ) / 2
= 42/2
= 21m
area of the triangular park by heron's formula = √ [ s ( s - a ) ( s - b ) ( s - c ) ]
= √ [ 21 ( 21 - 14 ) ( 21 - 15 ) ( 21 - 13 )
= √ 21 × 7 × 6 × 8
= √7056
= 84m²
hence, the area of remaining field = 1500 - 84
= 1416m²
