Answer:

The length of third side is 34.66 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : In a right angle triangle,

          One side = 25 m

          Other side = 24 m

To find : Third side =?

Solution :

  • It is given that in a right angle triangle,

         One side = 25 m

         Other side = 24 m

  • We have to find the length of third side.
  • As the given triangle is right angled triangle, use the Pythagoras theorem.
  • Pythagoras theorem states that " In a right angled triangle, the square of hypotenuse side is the addition of squares of other two sides."
  • ∴ In a right angle triangle, By Pythagoras theorem,

     ∴ (Thirdside)^{2} = (one side)^{2} +(other side)^{2}

        ∴ (Third side)^{2} =25^{2} +24^{2}

                            =625+576

                            =1201

  •  Now, taking square roots of both the sides, we get

       ∴ Third side = \sqrt{1201}

                         = 34.66 cm

  • ∴ The length of third side is 34.66 cm.
