We will apply Pythagoras Theorem.

According to Pythagoras Theorem,

Height² + Base² = Hypotenuse ²

=> a² + b² = c²

Here,

a = 2.5 cm
b = 6 cm

=> (2.5)² + 6² = hypotenuse ²

=> 6.25 + 36 = hypotenuse ²

=> hypotenuse ² = 42.25

=> hypotenuse = √42.25

=> hypotenuse = 6.5 cm

Answer :- 6.5 cm

\bold{\underline{Question-}} In a right angle triangle ABC, the lengths of legs one is given. Find the length of hypotenuse : (a) a = 2.5 cm, b = 6 cm.

\bold{\underline{Answer-}}According to the question we know that a = 2.5 cm, b = 6 cm.

Now, applying the Pythagoras theorem

Then,

c² = a² + b²

=> c² = ( 2.5 )² + ( 6 )²

=> 6.25 + 36 = c²

=> c² = 42.25

=> c = √42.25

=> c = 6.5

Now, hypotenuse is 6.5
