it is a right angled triangle, so one of the three angles is 90°

let the smaller angle b x.
larger angle exceeding the smaller by 16 degrees = x+16

sum of the three angles of a triangle = 180°
90°+x+x+16° = 180°
2x+16° = 180°-90°
2x+16° = 90°
2x = 90°-16°
2x = 74°
x = 74/2
x = 37°
larger angle ( exceeds small angle by one)
= x+16° = 37° + 16° = 53°
ans = 53°
