(AC)2=(AB)2+(BC)2

(AC)2= (12)2+(16)2

(AC)2=400

AC=√400

AC=20..

      AB = 12

      BC = 16

We know that,

AC^2=AB^2+BC^2  (Pythagoras theorem)

AC^2= 12^2+16^2

          =144+ 256

          = 400
