AC-AB=2

AB= AC-2 ----equation 1

BC=8cm(given)

Since ABC is right angled,

AC^2= AB^2+ BC^2(pythogoras theorem)

AC^2- AB^2=BC^2

(AC-AB)(AC+AB)= BC^2 (a^2-b^2=(a+b) (a-b) )

(2)( AC+AC-2) = 8

2AC-2= 8÷2

2AC= 4+2

AC=6÷2

AC=3cm
