given : sides making right angle are 3cm and 4cm

to find : hypotenuse

we know that

(hypotenuse) ² = (side) ² + (side) ²

(h) ² = (3cm) ² + ( 4cm)²

h ² = 9cm² + 16cm²

h² = 25cm²

h = √ 25cm²

h = 5cm

length of hypotenuse = 5cm

Answer:

➣ Length of the hypotenuse = 5 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: Base = 3 cm, Altitude = 4 cm

 \sf  \underline{We \:  know},

  • (Hypotenuse)² = (Base)² + (Altitude)²

➣ (Hypotenuse)² = (3)² + (4)²

➣ (Hypotenuse)² = 9 + 16

➣ (Hypotenuse)² = 25 cm

➣ Hypotenuse = √25 cm

➣ Hypotenuse = 5 cm

 \sf \underline{Hence,}

  • Hypotenuse = 5 cm
