Step-by-step explanation:

given triangle is right angle triangle

Pythagoras theorem :

(hypotenuse) ²

= (1st side) ² + (2nd side) ²

As we have given the length of hypotenuse is 5cm and one of the side is 3cm

(5)² = (3)² + ( 2nd side) ²

25 = 9 + (2nd side) ²

25 - 9 = (2nd side) ²

16 = (2nd side) ²

(2nd side) =√16

2nd side = 4

therefor the remaining other side of a triangle is 4cm

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

Triangle is right angled triangle.

Hypotenuse = 5 cm

One Side = 3 cm

To Find :-

Other side.

Formula to be used :-

Pythagoras theorem :  (Hypotenuse) ²  = (1st side) ² + (2nd side) ²

Solution :-

⇒ (Hypotenuse) ²  = (1st side) ² + (2nd side) ²

⇒ (5)² = (3)² + ( 2nd side) ²

⇒  25 = 9 + (2nd side) ²

⇒  25 - 9 = (2nd side) ²

⇒  16 = (2nd side) ²

⇒ 2nd Side = \sqrt{2}

⇒  2nd Side = 4 cm.

Hence, the other side of right angled triangle is 4 cm.
