Answer:

Hypotenuse= 15cm

Step-by-step explanation:

a^2+b^2=c^2

9^2+12^2=c^2

225=c^2

c=15

Given :-

  • In a right angled triangle sides making right angle are 9cm and 12cm

To Find :-

  • Length of hypotenuse of that triangle.

Solution :-

~Here, we’re given the length of base and perpendicular in a triangle, which are making right angle of 90 degrees and we need to find the hypotenuse of that triangle. We can find the hypotenuse by applying the Pythagoras theorem.

_____________

As we know that ,

Pythagoras theorem = h² = b² + p²

Where,

  • h is hypotenuse
  • b is base = 9 cm
  • p is perpendicular = 12 cm

Finding hypotenuse :-

➟ h² = 9² + 12²

➟ h² = 81 + 144

➟ h² = 225

➟ h = √225

➟ h = 15 cm

_____________

Hence,

  • Measure of Hypotenuse is 15 cm
