Answer:

area= 28cm2

base = 4cm

so, area = 1/2 × base × height

28cm2 = 1/2× 4cm×height

28cm2 = 2cm× height

28cm2/2cm= height

14cm= height

hope it may help you

We know,

Base = 4cm

Area = 28cm²

Height = x

Explanation for finding the height.

  • To find the height if base and area is given we will multiply base by 1/2 and then we will divide the area with the product.

As we know that formula for finding are of triangle is \Large\frac{1}{2}bh.

Area = \Large\frac{1}{2}bh

Area = \Large\frac{1}{2} (4)h

Area = \Large\frac{1}{2}2h

height = \Large\frac{28}{2} = 14 cm

\large\sf\underbrace\orange{∴\:14cm\:is\:the\:height.}

Verification:

Base = 4cm

Height = 14cm

Area = \Large\frac{1}{2}bh

Area = \Large\frac{1}{2} 4 × 14

Area = \Large\frac{1}{2} 56 = 28

28 = 28

LHS = RHS
