In a right angled triangle the hypotenuse is 10 cms and the ratio of the other two sides is 3:4. Find the sides

By Pythagoras theorem,

h²=p²+b²

10²=3x²+4x²

100=9x²+16x²

100=25x²

100/25=x²

4=x²

2=x

Therefore sides will be,

3x= 3*2=6

4x=4*2=8

Hence sides measure 6 and 8 respectively.
