Which of the following approximations is closest to the length of the hypotenuse ?
Answer :-
we know that, in a right angled triangle by pythagoras theorem ,
- (Perpendicular)² + (Base)² = (Hypotenuse)² .
given that,
- Perpendicular and base are 10 cm and 5cm .
so,
→ Hypotenuse = √[(10)² + (5)²]
→ Hypotenuse = √(100 + 25)
→ Hypotenuse = √(125)
→ Hypotenuse = 5√5
→ Hypotenuse = 5 * 2.24
→ Hypotenuse ≈ 11.2 cm (Ans.)
