(a) If AB = 6 cm, BC = 8 cm, find AC. explain ​

Given , ∠B=90  degree , AB =6cm , BC=8cm

Therefore,

AC square  = AB square + BC square ............( pythagoras theorem )

= 6(square  2 ) +8 (square 2)

 =36+64=100  

Thus, AC= Root 100 = 10
