Right angle triangle ABC , with ∠B = 90°.

BC = 12 cm.         AB = 5 cm
AC² = BC² + AB² = 169    => AC =13 cm

Area of ΔABC = 1/2 * AB* BC = 30 cm² 
Hence,    s * r = Area = 30 cm²
              (AB+BC+CA)/2 * r = 30
               r = 30 * 2/(12+5+13) = 2 cm
