Step-by-step explanation:

There where in total=45 students.

Let no. of boys be x and that of girls be y.

2y=x from the given condition.

2y+y=45

3y=45

y=45/3

y=15.

Therefore number of boys in class was 15 and that of girls was 30.

Answer:

Boys: 15 and Girls : 30

Step-by-step explanation:

As according to the given condition, the number of girls is double to boys thus;

Let 'x' be the number of boys present, then the number of girls would be '2x' obviously(simply double).

Now together girls and boys, the number is 45; so we can.say:

Number of boys + number of girls=45

=> x + 2x = 45

=> 3x =45

=> x= 15.

So,

Number of boys = x = 15

&Number of girls = 2x = 30
