A/Q, x+y=15......(i) × 4
4x+2y=50.......(ii)

from substitution method,
4x+4y=60
4x+2y=50

y=5.....(iii)

putting the value of (iii) in (i) we get
x+5=15
x=15-5
=10

Therefore no. of cats=10
