4x+2y=56(since cocks have 2 legs and deers have 4)
=>2(2x+y)=56
=>2x+y=28
x=28-y/2
Now,x+y=z
=>z=28-y/2+y=28+y/2(Now since cocks and deers both have only one head therefore total no. of cocks and deers must be20 )
=>20=28+y/2
=>40=28+y
=>y=12
THEREFORE x=20-12=8
