In a row of 35 children, m is 15 from the right end and there are 10 children between m and r. what is r's position from the left end of the row?

Given :

Total number of children in a row = 35

The position of m is 15th from right end

Number of children between m and r is 10

To Find :

The position of r from the left end of the row

Solution :

From figure

As   position of m is 15th from right end

So, Number of children left after m = 35 - 15 = 20

Again

Number of children from left end to m's position = 20

And The Number of children between m and r is 10

So, rest of the left children were from left end of row up to r's position

∵ The position of r from the left end = 10th

Hence The  position of r from the left end is 10th . Answer
