Given : boys and girls there are less than 40 student.

Rohan is at 26th from one end while Seema is 22nd from another end.

there are 18 students between Rohan and Seema then

To Find :  how many students are there in the row?

Solution:

. Rohan is at 26th from one end    while Seema is 22nd from another end

there are 18 students between Rohan and Seema

Case 1 :

Rohan is at 26th from one end   hence 25 are before Rohan from that end

Seema is 22nd from another end hence 21 are before Seema from that end

____25  _____ Rohan  ____18 ____  Seema  _____21_____

Total = 25  + 1  + 18 + 1 + 21  =  56

But students are   Less than    40

Hence

Case 2 :

___________  25___________Rohan

                                 ___18______

                     Seema  __________ 21____________

Rohan is 26th   hence  Seema  is   7th

So total are 7  + 21 = 28

28 students are

there in the row
