In a row of boys facing the north, a is 16th from the left end and c is 16th from the right end. B, who is 4th to the right of a, is 5th to the left of c, in a row. How many boys are there in a row?

There are 15 boys to the left of A and as well as to the right side of the C.

And B lies between A and C and there are around 3 boys between A and B and around 4 boys between B and C.

(15 + 1 + 3 + 1 + 4 + 1 + 15) = 40
