Answer:

oliver is 10th from right so there are 9 boys standing right side of him

from left he is at 15th so there are 14 boys standing left side of him

14 + 9 +1( himself ) +x = 30

24+x=30

x=30-24

x=6

so ,there should be 6 boys added to increase the row to 30

Given : in a row of boys. Oliver is standing 10th from the right and 15th from the left.

To find : How many more boys should be added to the row to increase the total number of boys to  30

Solution:

Oliver is standing 10th from the right

Hence 9 boys are in right of Oliver

Oliver is standing 15th from the left.

means 14 boys are in left of oliver

--------14------------OLIVER -----------9------------

Total Boys = 14 + Oliver + 9

= 24

Let say x boys to be increased to have 30 boys

24 + x = 30

=> x = 6

6 boys to be added to increase the total number of boys to 30
