Given :- In a row, the position of Robert from the left side of the row is 16th, and the position of Robert from the right side of the row is 21st. Find the total number of students in the row ?

Answer :-

we know that,

  • Total students in a row = Position of any student from left side + Position of same student from right side - 1 .

so,

→ Robert position from left = 16th

→ Robert position from right = 21st

then,

→ Total students in row = ( Robert position from left + Robert position from right ) - 1 = (16 + 21) - 1 = 37 - 1 = 36 students (Ans.)
